***That new Harry Potter movie is already making a lot of money. Yawn. Wake me when Hermione has her first sex scandal.
***In much more exciting news, IFC has struck a deal to air and produce 10 new episodes of “Trapped in the Closet.” Yes, that IFC, and yes, THAT “Trapped in the Closet.” My favorite line in the Variety write up: “”Trapped” is an early entry in a genre known as hip-hopera — a rock opera with hip-hop themes.” You’ll find what I guess could be described as a late entry to that genre embedded above.
***Beginning tonight, iKlipz will start airing a weekly series called Bridging the Gap, in which filmmaking professionals will offer a kind of brief tutorial on one aspect of the movie business.
***Sam Rockwell, Anjelica Houston, and Kelly McDonald have been hired to star in Clark Gregg’s adaptation of Chuck Palahniuk’s Choke, about “a sex addict who works as a Colonial War re-enactor and runs a con scheme that involves deliberately choking in restaurants and attaching himself parasitically to his rescuers, all to fund his mother’s care at a private mental hospital.”

Um, seriously? We really need 10 more episodes of midgets, guns and horrible rhyme scheme?
Ugh.
On a chappelean note, i’m still holding out for “i’ll piss on you” the hip-hopera.
