VBS sucks
They don't say the truth they only say things that could bring them money. They're saying Acarssicaude is the ONLY and FIRST metal band.
This is not true

They're not the "ONLY" Iraqi Metal Band, there are many Iraqi bands

Acrassicauda just STOLE everyones rights!!!
This is one of the Iraqi bands called Semi-Death

Yeah. I appreciate the band but Suroosh Alvi just comes off like a total douchebag. I guess I am not surprised.

I understand that, but the filmmakers are not trying to force Syria to keep the refugees. People go to Syria primarily because they can't afford/can't get visas to go anywhere else. Ideally, the goal is to bring the band to the US, but as this country has only accepted 400-something Iraqi refugees since the start of the war, that probably won't be possible right away.

These guys are among 1.5 million Iraqi refugees who have fled into Syria since the Iraq War began. That's equivalent to an additional 23 million Mexicans crossing into the US over a 4 year period. Imagine the impact.

Despite the three strikes against it; 1. war doc fatigue, 2. an association with Vice Mag and 3. Spike Jonze doing anything than putting on a cooking pot on his head and banging it with a wooden spoon -- I'm totally intrigued! Great review, I hope the film gets distro.
