The James families and Younger families have been slandered over the years as mean ruthless killers. The truth is that the yankee generals put in charge of the area committed numerous crimes including murder of their father while he was plowing in his field. They then burned their home burned their crops and killed their livestock as well as many other unfortunate families in the Missouri area. The James' and Youngers then took the war to the north by robbing their banks and trains of the money taken from Missouri families. Now a true movie about the Quantrall soldiers would be enlightening. Hopefully this will at least hold a grain of truth. I plan on watching the movie just to see if the true historical
