It absolutely blew me away with its simplicity and beauty and spirituality. It takes a very very talented director to be able to pull off this subject matter and my hat's off to that person. Every year, there are one or two films that I just completely fall in love with. I really like Jesse James, but even that didn't hit me as hard as Silent Light. I'm more sad than mad that it doesn't have US distribution--I know it's a terrible commercial bet, but it just saddens me that in the current market, there's almost no way to make it available to those few who might want it.
