Really, just how much money does studios and filmmakers that get accepted at Sundance Film Festival pay to the organization? The movies that they accept SUCK SUCK SUCK. Sundance really sold out. Robert Redford SUCKS.

AVANT FILMS, THE CHAMPION OF THE INDEPENDENT FILMMAKER, ANNOUNCES ITS MULTI- MEDIA HOLLYWOOD BOUND PROGRAM AT THE 2008 SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

PARK CITY, UTAH- Avant Films, the Champion of the Independent Filmmaker, is launching its Hollywood Bound program at the 28th annual Sundance Film Festival. During the opening weekend, Avant Films is holding private receptions to celebrate the achievement of independent filmmakers worldwide, in solidarity with the thousands of filmmakers, screenwriters, artists, composers, and musicians that come together during the 28th annual Sundance Film Festival.
Avant Films, the Champion of the Independent Filmmaker, has created Hollywood Bound as a new film exhibition and distribution program for leading filmmakers from around the world. This unique model provides broad exposure for filmmakers and their films in multiple formats, beginning with every filmmaker’s dream of nationwide theatrical exhibition. The core of the program is a Television series, in which over the course of the viewing season, 20 Filmmakers will compete (2 per episode) for the nationwide theatrical exhibition of their finished film. During the weekly show the filmmakers will present a trailer of their finished film along with their back story to the Hollywood Bound Critics and viewing audience. Following each episode the audience will vote on which film will go into theaters across the country. “The enormous popularity of the Sundance Film Festival, as well as the film festivals around the world, is just one of the many reasons we feel the American moviegoer will demonstrate their appreciation and support for Hollywood Bound by viewing these films in theaters,” said Teresa McBride Founder and CEO of Avant Films.

“We will travel to the world’s most prestigious film festivals to select the highest quality independent films that are thoughtful, at times provocative, but always intelligent and entertaining, to become part of the Hollywood Bound Family ‘by Invitation Only’ providing these Filmmakers an opportunity of a lifetime” said Alan Moore, President of Avant Films.
