Ok, I appreciate a filmmaker going into full promotional mode, but, seriously… is it a good idea to describe your film as “If Anne Frank had a video camera…”? Because whether intentionally or not, the director is linking the Katrina catastrophe (which we can still do something about) to the Holocaust (which we can do little to alter or change).

Are we going to watch this film sheerly out of gross sentimentality (defined here as hyper-emotion without any action)? Or is there a rallying cause behind this film.

I do like the way you try to push it into a discussion about the way documentary films can do an end-run around the traditional media, but this interview left me with the impression that the film is another Katrina-sploitation project. The filmmakers may have started the project with good intent, but now they are selling a product.
