Cloak and Dagger? Holla! Also, Kitty and Illyanna Rasputin. Might I suggest Elektra: Assassin?

Except, I trust Hollywood to ruin as many as they champion (see Elektra)...so perhaps it's better left undone.

The X-Files: I Want to Believe is being released on July 25, 2008, and all signs indicate that Agent Dana Scully will, AS ALWAYS, be strong, smart, and fearless in her pursuit of the truth.

Hollywood doesn't really see women as leads in virtually any films let alone action films. Remember Electra? Didn't do any money even with Jennifer Garner being red hot with Alias then. Both Tomb Raider 2 and the last Charlie's Angels didn't do any business either so they've pretty much abandoned women, especially in the summer months.

If you are looking for films with female leads, I've written a posting on that over at my blog: www.womenandhollywood.com

I take exception to Maggie's statement. I don't know what movies she's thinking of. There really weren't a lot of superhero movies made 20 or 30 years ago.

However, Margot Kidder in the first two Superman movies was anything BUT vapid or silly. She's the model these three should be aspiring to, not condemning.

Although, I'm sure Maggie was just speaking off-the-cuff and hadn't really thought her answer through.

Heck, even Kim Basinger in Burton's Batman wasn't vapid.
