Jet: You are a turd. Critique the film when you've seen it.

As for the article, I'm not sure if Fox is "reminding" us of anything. I think the movie is an experiment in form and likenesses and the merging of major elements of our society into one-stop shopping. It's true that Richard Kelly seems to be attempting similar feats.

Very interesting.

Memorial Day was by far the best film I saw at the CineVegas film festival. You people need to open your eyes and look into the context of the film.

Did you really have to make fun of the director's glasses? I mean that's just low. Why don't you go all the way and call him "four-eyes"?

Memorial Day wasn't shocking for anybody who has ever seen Girls Gone Wild, listened to Howard Stern or seen an episode of Jerry Springer followed by an evening of CNN during the Abu fiasco. Mmeroail Day was simply a boring film made by somebody who is lazy and doesn't know how to make an interesting "thought provoking" film. My friend and I walked out after 30 minutes and we gave it 28 minutes more than it deserved just trying to be fair and give it a chance.

There's nothing controversial about it. It's just dull. I was able to get my money back based on the severely misleading description of the film in the Cinevegas booklet. There was a mass exodus of the film when I saw it. I recall thinking, "people whould at least give it a chance..." then 20 minutes later I was thinking, "those people were more in touch than I, I've wasted 20 minutes of my life with this boring dribble.

Karina,

i was at cinevegas until last night... i kept seeing you at all of the parties and at happy hour and i was always wondering to myself who is this chick with the coolest glasses?

oh and i loved Memorial Day. the film made me feel very uncomfortable and a little queasy. hell that might have been from the two previous days of over indulgence though :)

Isn't that sweet. More panty-waisted, pussified, left-wing masturbation fantasies wrapped up and presented as if it were worth watching.
