Wow - That’s one of the worst dance numbers I’ve ever seen. It’s actually painful to watch Cyd try to do that completely pedestrian choreography totally unsuited to her. Of course, they’re going to hurt each other; the number is entirely about that. It’s Always Fair Weather is a dark film, not without its merits, but not a surprising flop at all.

So many show business deaths in the last few months! I definitely recognize her from Singin’ in the Rain, and it’s a shame that such a talent is gone.
