This has to be the dream of millions of kids: lifesize replicas of superheroes and Star Wars characters, made out of Legos. Unfortunately, even the most advantaged kids wouldn’t be able to get their hands on the kit to build the Stormtrooper Jango Fett (sorry, I was tired) pictured above, nor the impressively-detailed Batman below the jump.
I talked to Vince Rubino of LEGO Americas last night at the Con, and he told me that LEGO couldn’t possibly sell such a kit directly to consumers, because they “don’t have the instructions” to put them together. There are apparently six LEGO builders in the entire world with the expertise to put such a thing together. Richie Riches and the parents who bankroll them can go to Lego.com, where there are bios and contact info for each of these “accredited Certified Professionals”, from whom one an commission a custom creation such as those documented above and below.
Check out many more detail shots of the Batman on our Flickr stream.

That’s not a stormtrooper; it’s Jango Fett.
What, are you baiting nerds or something?
Gonna have to vote stormtrooper from the 1st series of Clone Wars cartoons

That’s a goddamn clone trooper not Jango Fett or a storm trooper.
If you guys really want to get technical, Jango Fett was cloned to make clone troopers, then clone troopers were upgraded to stormtroopers.
Closer to Storm Trooper than Jango Fett.
It’s an ARC clone trooper.
Yes I’m a nerd.

yep, thats a ARC trooper, it’s a type of clone trooper… Jango Fett would be closer to clone trooper than a storm trooper though… since they stopped using the Jango clones after the clone wars since they thought it was stupid to have only one person’s DNA as the basis for a clone army.
Oh come on!
Lego may have given their blessing to six people, but as a working mechanical engineer, I’d happily bet a year’s salary that given access to the pieces I want, I could make a life-sized model of a superhero.
It’s making a working scale model of your car that’s challenging (working meaning moving parts, not the internal combustion part!) or a working lego clock, like one of my friends did in college - it’s really challenging to get the three concentric shafts for the hands!
FAIL, that’s no Fett.
Yeah, it’s a clone trooper. NOT a Fett.
The blue represents Lieutenants, I think. And judging by the skirt he’d be a commando; but I could be wrong.
Batman is fat. What a bunch of no-talent nerds
dude…its not a clone trooper its def an ARC…Advanced Recon Commando….and yes he is a Lieutenant…. lol trust me i kno evrything there is 2 know about star wars.
That ARC looks like it was copied and pasted there.
hey nerds! The storm troopers were cloned from Jango. So whats the difference lol
Your all retarded!!! thats Commander Rex from the new clone wars movie coming out on the 15th!
no. its a clone trooper. look up images on google and compare. clone troopers are white. jango is gray
Thats acctually a clone trooper not Jango fett. Jango fett, or even boba for that matter both have blue armor. boba’a is the same suit as Jango’s only older.
You can tell it a clone trooper by the distinct T shaped Viewing area.
Thats not Jango Fett. You were right the first time….it is a Clone Trooper. Most likely it is REX.
Regarding your life size lego piece that is shown above.
I can say with 100% certaninty the it is not Jango Fett. For I have a life size Jango Fett in our Collection. Do research on it.
