Alan Moore also wrote V for Vendetta, the only decent adaptation, even though thematically, the film diverged from the source material.

Oh, great, another rueful, “Why won’t Alan Moore play ball like a good boy?” observation. As Gibbons says—he doesn’t want it, he doesn’t need it. YOU want it, because it might validate some part of your fanboy enthusiasm. Give it up. Get over the fact that he’s not going to play in your (stupid) yard.
