I don't care who directs, but if you want someone who looks AND sounds like Obama then that is actor Harry Joseph Lennix, (he played Nate in 2007's Stomp the Yard). I love Wil Smith, but he is over-exposed as an actor to play someone current. Harry would give a realism to the film that would be remarkable.

HARRY LENNIX - YES HE CAN PLAY BARACK! Now in terms of Michelle -I think for once, it would be so much more interesting to find an unknown actress who not only has great acting chops but also looks like Michelle Obama! Why do we always have to see the same usual suspects (Halle, Angela, Gabrielle, Sanaa, Jada, Regina and now Taraji) playing every single part for a Black Woman no matter how tall or what shade of brown she is?? Box office draw is no excuse! If the movie is well made and compelling, it will not make one dime of a difference at the box office if the actress who plays Michelle is an unknown and paired with a 'known' actor playing Barack (i.e. Harry Lennix is the closest resemblance; Hill Harper probably knows the entire story best BUT...Will gets what Will wants! Note to any filmmaker thinking about doing a feature on The Obamas: Find an unknown matched with a known to create the next classic romance film!!! P.S. There's a woman in Los Angeles who is a DEAD RINGER for Michelle!

Those are good actors, but if you want resemblence then you need look no further than this man...

http://ts4.images.live.com/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=2464787078551&id=ff3328c250c6bcd391c9850817c3404a

If you compare his picture with Obama...

http://ts4.images.live.com/images/thumbnail.aspx?q=2848251054419&id=3ccc56a0ae2e59651d119907c56a3809

...you get an uncanny resemblence. Even their manenrisms and way of speaking are somewhat similar. I say use DJ all the way. Perhaps that will finally be his HUGE breakout role.

Hey AKOS, Harry Lennix is a great choice. He was also tragically overlooked (if even considered) in favor of Denzel Washington for Malcolm X. I still don't know how they missed that one.

I think the star of this movie needs to be a unknown actor to maintain the spirit of how Obama came up through the ranks. I know a young man, Jason Lewis of Woodinville, WA who looks the part and has the same charisma that would be inspiring in playing the part of Barak Obama.

No. George Lucas directs. Jar-Jar Binks is Obama. Carrie Fisher with Afro Puffs is Michelle. Brian Dennehy is Ted Kennedy and Senator Palpatine is McCain. John Williams' score features Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott doing raps and Li'l Wayne going "Wee-ooh-wee-ooh-wee!" over a lush, orchestral background.

No. Todd Haynes directs. A Barbie doll with wrinkles and a dye job plays Hillary. Ken plays John Edwards and Baby Alive is his illegitimate love child. Michele Obama is played by Black Barbie. Barack is played by a knock-off Black doll the director bought from the Dollar Store on 125th Street. Teddy Ruxpin, with a taped speech by David Duke inside him, plays Bill Clinton.

No. Lina Wertmueller directs. Giancarlo Esposito plays Obama because Lina confuses him with Giancarlo Giannini. Sophie Okenedo plays Michele. The entire film takes place in a run-down Italian factory that stands in for the state of American politics today. The title translates to "Black Man Leads America By A Startling Coincidence During A Clear Day in The Month of November Under a Blue Sky of Destiny and Hateration."

No. Rob Reiner directs. Will Smith, in full Pursuit of Happyness look, plays Jesse Jackson. Whoopi Goldberg plays Michele, and in flashback, Obama is played by Hill Harper. The film is a what-if assassination scenario. James Woods, in fat suit and CGI-enhanced makeup, plays Bill. Kathy Bates with a hammer plays Hillary.

No! Hayao Miyazaki directs. It's a beautifully rendered cartoon with voices by Eddie Murphy, Jada Pinkett Smith, Charlize Theron, Larry the Cable Guy and Cedric the Entertainer. Regina King is the voice of Obama and Macy Gray is the voice of Michele. Michele is depicted as a big Japanese cat with Weave(TM). Bill Clinton is a bear that also serves as a pick up truck. Hillary is an old woman who turns into a hot Sailor Moon-style babe whenever she gives a political speech, and one of those little soot things with eyeballs plays Obama. Songs by Yoko Ono and Peaches and Herb.
