A bit misleading to say "only a handful" of the films in the NYFF are not from Cannes; 11/28 is more than a "handful", unless you consider 28 a "handful" to begin with. I wish they had included IL DIVO from Cannes, but they didn't, maybe considering it too complicatedly Italian-ly political.
