The only legitimate reason for delaying the opening is a production problem. I suspect the studio is delaying hoping for a "bigger" opening weekend (both in dollars and in attendance numbers) I'm boycotting the July opening of Half Blood Prince. I'll go a week later and ruin the studio's hope for a "big weekend." If everyone stays away, maybe the studios will be less inclined to make every decision based on numbers and take into account those of us who make their jobs even exist.

I read Alan Horns statement, several times. There was no mention of any of these other reasons except the writers strike and to make more money by releasing it in July. They cannot come up with new reasons now!! If HBP is not shown in Nov. my family and friends will not be going to any WB movies. They are holding HBP hostage and in my book that is extortion. They have totally underestimated Harry Potter fans..

One more site to add to the Harry Potter Revolt Of 2008. http://pottersorder.blogspot.com The site was apparently started yesterday and has a simple form to complete and an email automatically goes out to WB and Time Warner Execs in addition to several media outlets.
