In Tropic Thunder his cursing was indeed pointless in matters of bringing laughter to the audience, but it's his role, he IS the guy he is supposed to be. Rich greedy Jew with money on his mind and in his pockets. And his dancing scene was really cool , he managed to turn a bald fat guy into a cool dude with some dancing skills most people would envy.
