Like most short film collections, this one is hit and miss, but the hits (especially the Burns and McGuire pieces) make it well worth checking out. Some of the black and white animation is gorgeous. Definitely more in the creepy and unsettling mold rather than outright scary though.

This film is fantastic.

I’d never before thought I could find animation so terrifying, one wouldn’t think it had such potential for thrills. The use and effect of lighting in this film proves that no computer lighting effect will have the same impact as strong writing and creative use of animation’s forced perspectives.
