Some of the oldies but goldies would be good for the movies, such as Baldur’s Gate series, Knight of the Old Republic, to a degree Neverwinter nights. Not like these would be produced but hey, we all can dream.

SOUL CALIBUR AND DARKSTALKERS MOVIES.

Namco is made Soul Calibur games so 2nd Degree Media made a website for Soul Calibur but nothing is happening but Sammo hung was set to direct but nothing happened,but I think there will be some European and Japanese film companies to make the movie version of Soul Calibur but the story has to be true to the game.
Capcom’s Darkstalkers could go into a big screen treatment but I think Threshold Entertainment of Mortal Kombat movies and Capcom should join together to work on Darkstalkers movies,TV and work on a new games.
i hope that Capcom,Christophe Gans and Samuel Hadida getting the script redone to that Onimusha to follow Onimusha Warlords.

Dude ur missing the whole point of making a game into a movie. Portal would not make a movie, granted its fun as hell to play but theres no way i woulda wanna sit there for 90 mins watching someone play portal, which is how the movie would be, however things like gears of war, which are filled with action and PEOPLE would make awsome movies. And serriously we dont need more star wars movies.

Also, just for your own intrest, if u havn’t already played Indego Prophecy, play it, that would make an amazing movie. Incredible story line with awsome characters who you remember forever.

If you reduce the prevelence of the supernatural elements in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, make it a solid behind enemy lines/covert ops story, that would be a great flick. Simon Baker or Dominic West as Blaskowitz.

Also: Bio-Shock in two parts. First part explores the back story. Second part is the game.

With Doom and Max Payne failing in the box office, you would need to revert to far better games of the past. I know you are trying to keep the list full of newer titles, but the classics are the ones that need to be brought to life. Zelda, Kings Quest, Rainbow Six, Half-Life, Bioshock, ect.

Actually, Deadspace has an animated feature length movie that was planned to be released soon after the game.

It’s Deadspace: Downfall, and tells the back story of the crew of the Ishimura finding the artifact and their subsequent death and destruction.

As for a live action feature, I agree that Deadspace in the right hands could be a classic suspense/horror/sci-fi movie like Alien. More likely, though, it’d be a guns and gore summer blockbuster.

Also, Portal’s a nice choice, but take it one step further and bring the entire Half Life franchise stories in, Half Life, Opposing Force, HL2, and the episodic content.
