He didn't maintain those brat-pack worthy looks, as any "Cagney and Lacey" fan will tell you. A much pudgier Karlen did eight seasons of the '80s show, as Tyne Daly's lumpen husband. 

You're right, it's a great picture. And the "Score" affinity never occured to me, but it's spot-on.</description>
