Not just about cannibalism, but check out The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover
Great movie that includes at least one scene of cannibalism.

The Road is NOT a "cannibal movie"!!! It's not a book about cannibals so you are not spoiling a thing about what will be the best movie of 2009. Granted there is 1/2 page about some people eating people. But it is a passing scene that is there for a bit of drama.

When I first heard that this was being made into a film, I had a fear that people and/or hollywood would latch on to the Max Maxian aspects of the story - what little there are - and try to jazz it up a bit. Hopefully the spirit of this incredible book will remain true.

May I repeat...The Road, by Cormac MacCarty is NOT a book/story/movie about cannibals or cannibalism in any way shape or form!!! (Except for that tiny part about eating people.) Thank you for listen to my pre-coffee rant. Now where's that disembodied finger that I like to stir my drinks with...

God, The Road (the book) was so heart-numbingly depressing, I hope that if it ever does comes out, it doesn't earn enough Oscar recognition that I'll ever be forced to watch it. Sorry.
