I saw La Mission yesterday at the Native American film festival at Embarcadero I, and was exatremely impressed with all aspects of the movie. Is there anything we can do to help get this movie in the regular movie houses for anyone to see it? One of my daughters was asking where it was playing next in the bay area, so s]he could go and see it. If it does not make iit to the masses this way, would you be willing to make DVDs of it and sell it to the public? I for one would buy it in a heart beat.

wow its done! Can't wait to see this movie, the posters in the movie were borrowed by Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts. I'm so glad to see/ hear that they kept it all in the community - former Archivist at MCCLA, born and raised in "la Mission".

I also attended the premier and after party. I'm a photographer for StreetLow magazine. As a Bay Area raised Chicano we are faced with diversity every day. La Mission is a true account of Brown, Black, White, Gay, and Straight misunderstandings that haunt us. "GREAT JOB " by all actors in this film. La Mission is a must see film. Pete, You hit this one on the nose. I've been to Che's home and if you ever have the chance to meet him you would agree with me that he is a true man in his own art "Life". His wife by the way makes the worlds greatest Margaritas.
This film portrayed the lowrider lifestyle perfectly. As they cruise, glances along with smiles, waves and nods of approval are exchanged from car to pedestrians which really happens. That one moment in this film really touched my heart.
Viva La Mission! was yelled out at the beginning of this film.
Unforgettable words for an unforgettable film.

I just went to the SF Film Festival and seen the movie..Excellent! Beautifully told story. The film was shot in HD and was colorful/beautiful. The Soundtrack is awesome! Can't wait to see it on the Big Screen (Hollywood) The Brother's Bratt did an awesome job, and Jessie Borego is wonderful! I was so glad to meet him at the festival and the after party. Met Peter/Benjamin's mother too, and the young man who played opposite Benjamin Bratt. Go see this when it comes out. Moving story. My friend Fernando Fuentes did the actual tatoo artwork for this film. My brother's friends cars were also featured in the film.

I am a 43 year old Filipino American who grew up in the Mission. This movie tells the story of so many in the Neighborhood. I'm still part of the oldest and most respected low rider car club in the city "Low Creations". We were born out of the Mission. I am so happy Peter and Ben wanted passionately write about home. I actually know someone that this story fits his life. I cant wait to see the film!! Two of my vehicles were used as extra's in the film.
-From a non homophobic lowrider.

Not a big fan of homosexual controversy, but Benjamin Bratt is an awesome actor. Blood in Blood out Sangre por Sangre is my all time favorite cut. If La Mission can reflect the culture acurately the way blood in blood out did this will probably be an emotional movie, one im sure will be remembered.
