I had no knowledge or preconceptions about this movie before I saw it. I thought Charlyne was adorable and very funny. Very enjoyable film.

you dont need to watch this film to like or dislike it... just watch the trailer... it's all you need. Three minutes of charlyne is more than enough.

Yi presents such an interesting image on screen she will always find work and possibly great success if a script comes her way that can capitilize on it
However, if failure to pay actors post is true, she will only engender perminent hatred of her colleagues, and that will hardly boost her career.

Karina, you hit the nail on the head. I hated this movie when I saw it at Sundance. I repeat, hated. And it was specifically because of the one reason you highlighted so elegantly in your piece - I was unable to care about Charlyne Yi. I don't even like her comedy shtick in small doses, so to be bombarded by her monotone, apathetic, contrived and awkward performance for over an hour and a half left me in pain. I have no desire to see any other film she is in ever again. The movie seemed to be a let down from the beginning and the disjointed, manufactured relationship simply put it over the top. Again, Karina, thank you for saying what needed to be said.

I heard from several friends interviewed for this movie (both apparently appeared, at least in the version the casting agent saw) - and apparently neither signed releases - one apparently received the promised $50 check and the other did not. How can the movie be shown and tickets sold for a movie lacking signed releases for appearances by people integral to the movie? How could it be put up for sale without signed releases?
