Totally agree about Tribeca 2008. Let the Right One In and The Auteur (Cinetic) were my fave films last year.

This isn't about festivals. This is all about the Net, Gilmore has been looking at Cinetic and how they've pushed into that space.

Festivals are going to shift their focus in response to it, they will become just one arm in how to manage global releases of indie films. Could see a Tribeca developing as an online distributor with a big media friendly festival front end.

Karina--
Exactly what international "gems" have Tribeca unearthed? It's here that Sundance and Tribeca are in fact quite similar: A near-identical cluelessness to world cinema that matters.
