While there are some parts that display a 'hokey' side to conspiracy theorists(such as the couple performing a religious song) overall I was left with a sympathetic view of these characters. I thought Seth Jackson made such a great character study for this ideology as he seems to possess so much of the conflicts that seem to come from holding such beliefs. It is 'written on his face', as they say. Honestly, in such an insane world where war creates peace and we surrender freedoms for a false sense of security, you have to wonder who are really the crazy ones? Kudos. It's great to read intelligent and thoughtful ideas about why some peoples rigid belief systems can not, or will not ,allow the incorporation of fact based evidence to alter or elevate thier understanding of the world around them. I look forward to seeing the film, and its expose of some that can. The willingness of the film makers to suspend judgement, while striving to illuminate the humanity of the individuals involved in facing up to our shared situation gives me hope. It’s great to read intelligent and thoughtful ideas about why some peoples rigid belief systems can not, or will not ,allow the incorporation of fact based evidence to alter or elevate thier understanding of the world around them. I look forward to seeing the film, and its expose of some that can.
