oh .. i did see the cut with the piano, that was the best part, I can't imagine the movie with out it, it balanced it out, why in hell would anyone want to cut it out. It went with it perfect kept us in the 80's.

I couldn't sleep last night, woke up and 1:30 after tossing and turning for about an hour I went in the living room and thought I would get a movie on comcast on demand, I chose it and thought well this is probably going to suck and put me to sleep. I LOVED IT!! I loved the slow pace of the film and the 80's feel to the whole production down to the credits at the begining to the dramatic ending.
I am officially a fan of Ti West ... this is a work of art I am sure he is proud of, I want to go back and watch every movie he has ever produced!!!

I can understand Mr. West's frustrations and his dismay at the lack of faith in his artistic integrity, but I can tell you, after having seen "House of the Devil" tonight on Comcast HD On Demand, it was one of the spookiest, scariest movies I have seen in a long, long time, And I am 65 years old. Too slow? Not by a long shot: if it had been those extra four minutes longer, I might not have made it. I loved the long crescendo of horror. It seemed just right to me!

I don't understand this!! Why hasn't CF2 been released already?! Lionsgate rep said that it wasn't being released on dvd in April, they were looking forward to releasing it in theatres. What the fuck is taking them so long!!!!? Ti, you should do like Tim Sullivan, just release your movie on dvd worldwide so you can get your money back, because these assnuts are taking too long releasing your masterpiece.

I loved The Roost. I haven't seen Trigger Man yet, but now I want to.

As for the obstacle course of doom Ti West has been running the last couple of years, it just seems that emerging from that world of hack-producers unscathed is a matter of profound luck. I mean so many filmmakers with huge talent get chewed up and spit out before they even have a chance to do their thing. And these producers/distributors don't really know much more than they want to give us the same niche crap in an over-stuffed niche market as it is. Fortunately the digital era does mean filmmakers like West can, if they absolutely have to, fall back on their own devices and return to making a film that matters to them.

This pisses me off. I loved The Roost and Trigger Man both, and have been eagerly awaiting House of the Devil and Cabin Fever 2...I specifically thought West was the perfect person for CF2 if Eli Roth was not behind it, but this movie politics bullshit always has to ruin shit.

Ti, if you're reading this, do everything in your power to get your real movies out at least as director's cut dvds. I know it's not necessarily in your hands, but keep fighting these pricks, because you have fans that want to see the movies you made.
