Oscilloscope Pictures founder Adam Yauch (who also performs with a musical act known as The Beastie Boys) has announced via the above YouTube clip (co-starring fellow Beastie Adam Horowitz) that he’s going to undergo surgery and radiation for cancer of the salivary gland. The illness will cause the Beastie Boys to postpone their planned album release and tour, but Yauch says his doctors expect him to recover with no damage to his voice.
