Excellent choices, you've covered all my favs (though naturally Life of Brian is also a must see). Also check out:

- Hot Fuzz ("equal" of Shaun of the Dead), not as good but still great fun
- The Full Monty really is a great comedy too, though I would guess a lot of the comedy is missed to non-Brits (the best gag is a reference to the Arsenal defence which only male Brits who are familiar with the 1990s Arsenal team would get!)
- Oh, Mr Porter! - pre-dates even the Ealing comedies and is the best Will Hay film
- I really enjoyed "The Parole Officer", great fun, but I'm aware it's not universally popular.
- the other Wallace and Gromit films (Wrong Trousers is the best but the feature length Curse of the Were-Rabbitt is also excellent), also Chicken Run in the same vain.

Similarly I thought Jim Broadbent was supremely funny in Harry Potter 6. Long live the Marx Brothers!
